Weekend with Mother Nature

“Every child should have mud pies, grasshoppers, water bugs, tadpoles, frogs, mud turtles, elderberries, wild strawberries, acorns, chestnuts, trees to climb. Brooks to wade, water lilies, woodchucks, bats, bees, butterflies, various animals to pet, hayfields, pine- cones, rocks to roll, sand, snakes, huckleberries and hornets. And any child who has been deprived of these has been deprived of the best part of education.”
— Luther Burbank (American horticulturalist and botanist, 1849 – 1926)

I have found the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it

Rainy Days... no school for days...

no school for days because of heavy rains and holidays.

My first grader is just super energetic and wants to do a lot of things.

Since we cannot go out I had to keep him busy while inside the house...

PLAY with Toys, toys and robot collections; optimus prime, power rangers, backhoe, wolverine and hey yah it's Finn the Human up there!

ZAP's collections, other than backhoe which is his most favorite,  Transformers, Voltron, Power Rangers, & Voltes V (not on the photo, its in the box he couldn't display it because there is a missing part)

Lego!

ZAP is busy assembling the lego tractor.

Doodle time...

Review and writing practice...

ZAP's breakfast- Hot Arroz Caldo perfect for rainy day.

...and for ZAP's dad too.

Reading his favorite book, 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. ZAP said: 'Mom I'll read a book so you could sleep well and feel better. (Mommy was not feeling well because of migraine.)
